Establish a procedures manual including some or all of the toolkits outlined here so that you have instructions
to follow for every aspect of human resources.
Recruiting
and Selection Toolkit
Establish
standard procedures to follow for recruiting and selecting employees, including establishing cost effective advertising sources,
creating standard ads, updating application, creating standard interview questions and forms, standard acknowledgement cards
and letters, implementing standard reference check forms.
New Hire Orientation Toolkit – Establish standard procedure
for new hires, including creating standard offer letter, creating new hire orientation checklist, establishing new hire orientation
packet with all required notices and pamphlets.
Termination Toolkit – Establish standard procedures
for terminations/resignations, including termination checklist, termination/resignation letters, termination packets with
all required notices, forms and pamphlets.
Personnel file set up – Establish proper personnel
files for all employees, set up other necessary confidential files, and provide checklist for proper contents and record retention
policy. Can include setting up I-9 files, applicant files.
Employee Handbook - Create or update customized handbook to establish
company policy and procedures. Includes all California mandatory policies, you
choose from recommended and optional.
Job Descriptions – Create customized job descriptions
which include all recommended components and information critical for recruiting and performance – exempt status, reporting
relationship, knowledge and skill qualifications, job summary, essential functions, and physical functions.
Performance Appraisals – Create customized annual
performance appraisal form and system for implementing evaluation of employee performance.
Includes pay adjustment form to utilize for merit increases. Can
include introductory period performance summary, and other periodic appraisal systems as desired.
Benefit Summary and Enrollment Process – Create customized benefit
summary sheet and packets to simplify communication of benefit programs
to employees. Conduct annual benefit enrollment educational meetings so employees
know how their benefits work and how to use them. See your enrollment increase!
Safety Programs – Create customized safety
plans required by OSHA including Injury Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP), Fire
Prevention, Emergency Action plan, etc. Help implement required elements of safety
programs (safety inspections, committee meetings).
Salary Surveys and Pay
Ranges – Conduct salary surveys for positions and provide recommendations for pay
rates. Create customized set pay ranges for all positions in organizations.
Employee Recognition – Create and implement employee
recognition programs to fit your needs. Performance based, employee nominations,

Training Programs – Create and implement customized
training programs to meet the current needs of your staff. Customer service,
